Following the enforcement of the Enforcement Decree of the Urban Small and Medium Business Act in 2015, Cheongju City and Seowon University were designated as print publishing districts for the first time in Korea, and Cheongju printing and publishing industries were supported by 1.5 billion won in state funds, 300 million won in provincial funds, and 2.1 billion won in municipal funds. Cheongju Central Printing and Printing Specialized Support Center of Cheongju Industrial-Academic Cooperation Group, which is the home of the printing and information industry in the past, is striving to strengthen the competitiveness of printing workers through information provision and field-specific support programs centered on the Cheongju printing integrated district.
